Great news to report. Kristen is awake at times and coherent. She is able to answer questions by nodding her head (there is a tube in her throat that does not allow her to speak). She is still medicated and is looking at more hurdles but we are very excited to see her interact. I told her that there must be something to this girl power stuff (an inside joke related to a bumper sticker) because she is way tougher than me. I received a very strong yes head nod.
She was flipping thru TV channels using the newly acquired remote when we left.

Thank you thank you thank you so muchfor the updates! Most of all thank you Judy for being there as much as you have! You are Kristen's favorite person and i know it means the world you have been there by her side. You are an amazing Mother and YOU ARE a very strong woman, belive it or not.
